How does BlanX® work?
Our special formula uses a combination of ingredients, which work together to produce a natural whitening effect:
- High quality non-abrasive silica, which gives excellent cleaning without damaging the enamel surface of teeth
- Arctic Lichen, which inhibits the growth of bacteria, helps prevent plaque, reduces staining and soothes the gums
- Fluoride ions to strengthen tooth enamel and protect against plaque
Will BlanX® taste gritty?
The abrasivity of toothpaste is measured by RDA (Relative Dentine Abrasivity). The higher the RDA, the more abrasive the toothpaste and the more likely it is to damage your teeth. The abrasive effect may be caused by very hard, large cleaning particles or chemicals, linked to the use of aggressive whitening substances that can attack the enamel.
Many whitening toothpastes have a high RDA, sometimes over 150, to produce a rapid whitening effect. Although it may work quickly, it becomes very harmful to the health of teeth and has a negative effect over time.
BlanX® toothpastes use high quality silica, which ensures effective cleaning while respecting tooth enamel. The specific particle sizes also means BlanX® does not taste at all gritty.
What is Arctic Lichen?
Arctic Lichen is a naturally occurring organism consisting of an alga and a fungus. Lichens draw energy from the sun’s rays and can live in extreme conditions, colonizing uncontaminated lands such as the Arctic.
This Arctic Lichen produces many unique active substances, such as natural anti-bactericides and anti-oxidants, naturally used to protect itself in these highly stressful environmental conditions.
How does the lichen clean my teeth?
The Arctic Lichen extracts in BlanX® work against micro-organisms that cause plaque. When applied to the teeth, the extracts penetrate into tooth enamel, dramatically reducing the number of bacteria and preventing them sticking to the tooth, which stops plaque and stains developing.
The extracts only attack bacteria that’s harmful to teeth – leaving the ‘good’ bacteria necessary for a healthy mouth.
Will BlanX® taste nice?
BlanX® has a minty flavour. The texture of the toothpaste is slightly thicker than a regular gel toothpaste, but not at all unpleasant.
How long will it take for my teeth to become whiter?
Use BlanX® daily and you will have visibly whiter teeth after just 30 days.
You can test this whiteness using the BlanXometer, free inside every pack of BlanX® toothpaste.
Should I use BlanX® after my regular toothpaste?
No. BlanX® offers complete oral care – effectively fighting plaque, tartar and freshening breath – so you should use it instead of your regular toothpaste.
How often should I use BlanX®?
Use BlanX® as your regular toothpaste every time you brush.
Is it safe for my children to use?
As with any toothpaste containing fluoride, children under 7 years should only use a pea-sized amount under supervision, to minimise swallowing.
Why do my teeth get stained?
Teeth are individual and everyone’s are different. There’s no standard colour for teeth either – each person has a characteristic enamel colour which could even vary from tooth to tooth, and can change due to smoking, drinking tea, coffee or red wine or eating some foods.
Good oral hygiene plays an important role in fighting the external causes of tooth discolouration as well as protecting from fluoride deficiency and ageing. Daily use of BlanX® restores teeth to their original natural whiteness without damaging the tooth’s enamel.
I suffer from sensitive teeth and usually use a sensitive toothpaste, will BlanX® still be suitable for me?
Yes. BlanX® Sensitive Teeth is specially designed for sensitive teeth.
Is BlanX® suitable for vegetarians?
Yes, BlanX® contains no animal fats or other derivatives.
Where can I buy BlanX®?
BlanX® is available to buy online and at ASDA, Boots, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Superdrug and Wilkinson.
